INEC official, Okadaman die in a Fatal road accident in Benue

A female adhoc staff of INEC died in a fatal bike accident this morning March 28th along Obussa-Ebonyi road, in Oju local government area of Benue state, Vanguard reports. The Okada man also lost his life. The INEC staff was on her way to Oju town where she was posted for election duties..

"They were riding on top speed at about 7:45 when the front part of the motorbike suddenly pulled of leading to the fatal accident and the instant death of the INEC staff. Though the bike rider survived after sustaining serious injuries he later died before receiving medical attention.” A witness said

The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of INEC in Benue state, Mr. Louis Ochai confirmed the incident.

Abdul Mohar wants $850K from the Biebs for the December, 2013 incident in Toronto ... according to the Toronto Star. Bieber and his gang were in the back of the limo when the the driver claims he was repeatedly struck.

Card readers were apparently failing often at a polling booth near an Accenture staff's home. And the guy couldn't understand why...cos the readers were all new. So he approached the INEC woman. Inspected the reader. Only to find the protective film on the lens of the reader had not been removed. After a protracted argument he convinced the woman to remove it. The reader not only read the prior rejected cards, it was reading with even faster response time. Please share. It could help a lot.

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, has stated that the results for the 2015 General Elections, holding today (Saturday, 28 March, 2015) will be announced 48 hours after the elections – Monday, 30 March, 2015.

He made the statement on Friday, during a joint press conference with the Director General of the National Youth Service Commission (NYSC), Brig-Gen. Johnson Olawumi on last minute preparations for the polls.

A friend told The Chicago Tribune that he’ll serve the rest of his 2 1/2 year sentence in a halfway house in Washington DC, though the family wouldn’t confirm that. Rihanna teased the art for "Bitch Better Have My Money" yesterday, putting people into a brief frenzy when it seemed the singer's album could be dropping today. Unfortunately, it's just a single, but we'll take any new Rihanna we can get, and unlike "FourFiveSeconds", the record finds Rihanna back in banger territory.

The Deputy-produced song is certainly rap-informed, sounding like one of the more banging records off of Trey Songz last album, Trigga. Indiana to Declare Public Health Emergency Over HIV Outbreak

India Faced with a growing HIV outbreak tied to intravenous drug use, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence said Wednesday he's considering a needle-exchange program as part of a public health emergency he's preparing to declare in a county that's at the epicenter of the cases.

Pence, a Republican, said he opposes needle exchanges as part of drug-control policy but is listening to health officials to determine the best way to stop the outbreak in Scott County in southern Indiana. Health officials say 72 cases of HIV have been confirmed in southern Indiana and seven other people have preliminary positive HIV infections. All of those infected either live in Scott County or have ties to the county.

The fire incident at Ascon Oil filling station at Lekki Phase 1 this afternoon has been contained. Contrary to earlier speculations, the main building and the reservoirs are unaffected. The incident emanated from a discharge at the point of offloading product from a tanker, engulfing two tankers and some vehicles parked by the road side.

It was an accident compounded by the current fuel scarcity in the country with ASCON OIL being one of the few stations with a reliable steady supply even in times of scarcity. Ondo State Deputy Governor Ali Olanusi has left PDP and subsequently joined APC.

Olanusi announced the news on Thursday, Pulse.ng reports.

Reports state that Olanusi became the deputy governor of Ondo in 2009 as a member of the Labour Party (LP). Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who was also once a member of LP. The pair defected from LP to PDP together in 2014.

No one can tell what it is that caused the explosion, but it is so bad that the fire has spread to the Round about close to the station.
