Actress Danièle Watts who appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s slavery-era Western “Django Unchained” as Coco, says she was accosted by LA Police for being affectionate in public with her husband and being mistaken for a known prostitute.
Watts, who is African-American, was seen being affectionate with her husband Brian James Lucas, who is white, in a parked car at CBS Studios following a meeting. A 911 call was placed to police claiming “indecent exposure” because Watts was wearing tight, revealing shorts. According to Watts, she was walking on the sidewalk and speaking to her father on her cellphone when the police arrived and “accosted her,” putting her in handcuffs when she refused to furnish identification.
