Hong Kong's leader to protesters: China won't back down

As dusk fell on Hong Kong Tuesday, the mass of protesters packing the city's streets continued to swell. Many in the city told CNN's correspondents that they planned to join the demonstrators because they're not working Wednesday due to the holiday -- China's National Day.

There are already tens of thousands of demonstrators in the streets, calling for a full democracy and the city's right to elect a new leader.
